Princeton Academy of Dance is a studio that's primary focus is on dance as an art form.
All of our classes are taught under the supervision of Owner, Ms. Melissa. Ms. Melissa has been instructing dance lessons to students ages 2 - Adult for 13 years in all forms of dance offered at our studio.
What sets us aside from other studios...
*Affordability- Our family rates help keep classes affordable for families with multiple children interested in dance. Students who take multiple classes are also able to take advantage of our family rates!
*Affordable Costumes- Why pay $70 - $100+ for a costume you will only wear once? Our costumes are no more than $50.00 per class. We chose great quality costumes at affordable prices!
*Recitals- Want to go to a recital where your child is a star? Of course! Our class sizes are limited to guarantee you will see your little one shine on stage! Our shows are short and all of our dancers are of equal importance to our performance! Each dancer is also awarded with a trophy at the end of our annual dance recital!
*Age Appropriate Music and Costumes- You will never see a child in a "belly costume" in a Princeton Academy of Dance routine. Children are children and should dress as children! We choose music that is appropriate for each age group as well. Princeton Academy of Dance was given an award for it's age appropriate music and costuming at the 2008 Olympic Miss Dance Competition.
*Fun Classes, while learning the Disciplines of Dance- Having two children herself, Ms. Melissa understands that children need an outlet to express themselves and have fun. At Princeton Academy of Dance, we not only teach correct technique and discipline, but we do make sure our dancers have fun as well. We never want our dancers to lose the "Love of Dance." Dance is hard work, and we do express the importance of working hard to reach goals, but never push our students beyond their boundaries. Our schedules are flexible for your children so they can have time to enjoy other activities, do homework and be kids!
*Competition Teams- Our competition teams have won several Gold, and High Gold awards over the past two competition seasons. Princeton Academy of Dance soloists have won 1st, 3rd, 4th and Winning titles in competitions. Our competition students are taught the importance of team work, hard work, trying your best, and giving it your all. They are also taught the importance of sportsmanship and support of other studios while at competitive events. We never put our student's emphasis on winning. Although we do well at competitions Ms. Melissa always tells her competition students that she will only be disappointed if they don't try their best and have fun.
*Small Class Sizes- Individual attention is an important part of the learning process. We have class limits to ensure the best possible dance training for our students.
*Noncompetitive, Friendly Environment for All- There is absolutely no competition between our students at Princeton Academy of Dance. There's no favorites and no politics involved. We simply care about each and every student here. We have never had a situation where dancers did not get along in our studio and as long as we can help it we hope it never happens. We provide a family-like atmosphere and welcome everyone with open arms.
